Hello!
Pour Some Matcha On Me is a health & lifestyle blog run by two girls who are simply trying to live our best lives.
If you haven't noticed already, most health and wellness blogs are run by people who already health superstars and wellness gurus, which can be pretty intimidating. We look up to these people (ahem, Steph Claire Smith) but most days it just doesn't feel achievable.
Our goal? To make health and wellness topics more approachable to ordinary people, just like us! We love poutine. We love a good Netflix-binge. But we also find small ways to balance our bad habits with better, healthier ones. This is why we created Pour Some Matcha On Me.
Join us in our wellness adventure! We promise we have snacks (lots of them).
Stay hungry,
Mariana & Heather
P.S. Find more about us in our introductory blog post here!

Hi, I'm Mariana!
I'm a fourth-year student at the Smith Business School at Queen's University and 1/2 of the Pour Some Matcha On Me team.
As an ex-athlete, health and wellness came naturally to me when growing up. However that all changed when I moved to university. Being a university student is hard, and being healthy at the same time is nearly impossible. That's why we created Pour Some Matcha On Me, to share our tips on how to be a little bit healthier so your indulgences taste that much sweeter.
For me, that means being able to eat 'til I feel sick at all-you-can-sushi or going on late-night ice-cream runs with my housemates without feeling guilty. When I'm not drinking matcha lattes, you can find me trying to relive my peak at the pool, colour coordinating my closet, or tripping over my own feet (bruises not pictured).
Hi, I'm Heather!
Like Mariana, I am a fourth year student at Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and the other ½ of the Pour Some Matcha On Me duo.
Growing up I was constantly active, playing a variety of competitive sports including dance and soccer. As a kid it’s easy to keep fit and healthy but as we get older we well, start to deteriorate a little bit haha. As a university student with a hectic schedule it can be difficult to remain healthy all the time. But that’s ok. Who wants to be healthy 24/7 anyways? I love indulging in sweets and yes, poutine (love of my life) but I find ways to balance out my unhealthy habits with healthy ones.
Pour Some Matcha On Me is a place for you to come to read about health and lifestyle tricks from two regular girls who just get it. Mariana and I are great friends and we love to chat with one another which is what we’re here to do with you. So hopefully you learn something from us or at least get a chuckle out of the ridiculous amount of puns we use on a regular basis. Enjoy!
