Alright listen up. It’s time to unglue your eyes from that screen and read a damn book already. I can feel you internally nodding your head. We all know we need to read more, we constantly say that we want to read more books, but do many of us actually do it? No. We come up with every excuse in the book (pun intended) to justify our lack of paper time. And while it may be tempting, don’t let Netflix take over your life. Finding the right read can make a huge impact in your lifestyle and help to reduce unnecessary screen time.

I love getting lost in a good read; however, as a busy university student it can be almost impossible to find time to read a book not because I have to but because I actually want to (talking to my textbooks here). I have made it a duty to dedicate time before bed every night to do a little reading, even if it’s only 20 minutes. I grab a cup of tea, pick up my book and get to reading. But it isn't easy finding the right book.

So to help you out, I have compiled a list of 12 fantastic reads from intense thrillers to heart-melting dramas to help you find your next great read! Some are novels that you may recognize due to their film adaptation but in my experience the book is always better than the movie so don't count them out! Keep scrolling for a description of each.
